Biography

One of the most frustrating experiences for a speaker or consultant trying to grow his or her career is finding the right support for growing their businesses. While managing two acts, I ran into this challenge early on. I spent endless hours working the phones to get my acts booked, advancing dates, getting my guys ready for the road, all while trying to come up with new strategies for breaking into new markets, converting more business, and finding new niches. To serve our objectives, I spent a lot of time developing marketing materials, websites, press kits, and promotional brochures to promote what we were doing. I wanted to work smart, and I was constantly looking for new strategies for generating more business.

My frustration peaked while searching for a developer for a new website. All the web developers I'd interviewed talked up the design of the site, or the type of programming they would use to build something “state of the art” for the client. It quickly became apparent that no one was going to take the time to learn our business, to craft the right marketing message or to help develop the right content, and these “professionals” where not marketers—they didn’t know what our customers were looking for (shouldn’t a website help them find it?).

I wanted one thing: a strategy for reaching more customers. I knew if we were going to build a website that really worked (helped us generate more business), it would be up to me to develop the right content and to learn how web navigation worked. I began researching and building my team of experts. I took a crash course on web marketing including information architecture, conversion strategies, search engine optimization, and other e-marketing tactics. We discovered ways of building websites that employed all the right strategies without costing a small fortune.

This experience confirmed how much I loved the process of building my clients’ platforms—and I was GOOD at it! I also saw a unique business opportunity as there weren’t any companies committed to helping speakers, consultants and authors develop effective strategies for generating business.

I’m passionately driven to help my clients grow their businesses, and I started this company knowing first-hand how hard it can be to find people who are willing to jump into the trenches and become a partner in their endeavor. That's what we’re about: Using our unique discovery process, we build websites that work and develop marketing tools and strategies to help our clients grow their businesses. We break a sweat, but we have a lot of fun doing it!
